My first and foremost philosophy about nutrition is that we should be nourishing our bodies as much as possible with REAL FOOD!
What ISN’T real food? It isn’t something that can be created in a factory or a science lab. It isn’t something that contains a long list of unpronounceable ingredients. It isn’t something that can last for years without spoiling. It isn’t something that has to be fortified with nutrients to replace what what lost during processing.
What IS real food? Real food comes from nature (or at least as close to it as possible). It gives our bodies the energy it needs to function at its best. When you read the list of ingredients you recognize everything on the label as real food. Real foods (like fruits and vegetables) often do not even need food labels. Real food is the healthiest way to live.
In a world where medication is prescribed for just about everything, I believe that food can be the real cure for many of our health problems. You must find the root cause of your problems in order to find long lasting solutions. Food can fight disease or cause it and I want to be hear to spread the message that food is the medicine we should be taking.
Why I do What I do? I see it way to often with clients. People suffering or just getting by in life and suffering from health issues. From little issues like a few patches of eczema to larger issues like a debilitating autoimmune disease, life just isn’t as enjoyable. Many health care providers will simply prescribe a pill and send patients on their way without getting to the root issue. Unfortunately pills often just cover up symptoms without fixing the problem. Good nutrition isn’t just about food but about healing. I get the most enjoyment out of life by teaching people how to get optimal nourishment in order to live life to its fullest. This is about long term success and being happy with yourself. Feeling your best is priceless.
