Are you symptom-chasing more than you are building health?🤔

Trying to heal the gut by focusing on gut bugs often feels like playing whack-a-mole.🔨

At the start of my healing journey, I found myself immersed in running labs, like stool tests, and striving to achieve the perfect bacterial balance.💩

Because this was the main message in my training programs: if something pops up on a stool test, you have to kill it!❌

However, I now know that it is way more impactful to address the gut terrain. If that isn’t right, then no amount of killing infections or taking probiotics will result in long-term health. 😉

One might find temporary relief, if they even find relief at all.🤕

This is well said because root problems are often the public enemies that contribute to other issues developing. Gut problems are no different.💩

Small intestine bacterial overgrowth, or SIBO for short, is a health issue that is more prevalent than we often realize. It affects many individuals like you and your clients. 👩🏻‍🤝‍👩🏽

What are some possible signs that you have a fermenting upper gut, aka SIBO?🤔

✅Bloating
✅Many food intolerances, especially to plant foods
✅Constipation
✅Diarrhea
✅Excessive burping or gas
✅IBS
✅Sometimes heartburn
✅Brain fog
✅Fatigue
✅Stomach pain or cramps
✅Mast cell issues
✅Mental health struggles like anxiety or depression (that gut/brain connection)
✅Nervous system dysregulation

NUTRITION ADVICE ISN’T A ONE SIZE FITS ALL APPROACH💁🏻‍♀️

Always take blanket nutrition advice with a grain of salt.🧂

A huge reason why the question of what do I need to eat to heal my gut and feel my best has no black and white answer.🖤⚪️

The answer depends on YOU. Your body. How well your gut is able to tolerate things. How well it can breakdown, absorb, and assimilate.💩

Nothing fires me up more than seeing nutrition advice that puts everyone into ONE box.📦

Something that kept me struggling for SO LONG to heal my gut and get my health back was trying to follow these nutrition rules that many people promote everyone should be doing.🤦🏻‍♀️

Until I started figuring out what my body needed.❤️

I actually had to reduce plants, not increase them. 🌱

I am not saying this is what I feel everyone should be doing but what I am saying is that eating more plants doesn’t work for EVERYONE.👩🏻‍🤝‍👩🏽

Rather I would say eating the right amounts and kinds of plants. Find your plant sweet spot.👌

And if you find that your right amount is MORE than great. If not then it is time to find your sweet spot to help you heal your gut and feel your best.😍
